In our "Dinner from the Hearth" Program, generally performed at local Bed & Breakfast establishments, participants travel back in time with our costumed hearth cooking experts to prepare and enjoy a delicious 3-course meal and learn the customs, etiquette and techniques of cooking over a crackling fire in rural America from 1830 to 1860. Caren Harrington and her colleagues, Kitty Lowenthal and Donna Kimball, offer a wide variety of other Programs as well, including workshops, demonstrations and customized events for groups large and small. They are also available for Docent Training. If you would like to learn more about early to mid-19th Century New England, you've come to the right place. We look forward to hearing from you. Participant comments: “We had a ball! I can't wait to try some of the recipes and strategies learned asap! Good luck with more programs like it!” NZ Munroe, CT “I can't tell you how much we enjoyed our stay with you (again) and especially the workshop last night.” BD Milton VT
